Insights from MWC: A Conversation with Andrew De La Torre

Alejandro Piñero: We’re here at MWC once again, Andrew. Last year, you highlighted the creation of new business models and B2B revenue streams. What updates can we expect this year?
Andrew De La Torre: This year, our discussions continue to revolve around three main themes that we’ve been emphasizing over the past few years. The first is the industrialization of cloud-native deployments, followed by the development of the API ecosystem, and lastly, a focus on automation. However, this year’s spotlight is on artificial intelligence, particularly its role in enhancing our automation solutions. We are also seeing a reaffirmation of next-generation opportunities within the carrier sector, which is reshaping business models and drawing significant attention to the enterprise communications landscape. Additionally, enhancing customer experience and engagement remains a top priority, while there’s a resurgence in discussions around IT simplification and the need for integrated solutions.

Attendees will have the opportunity to witness how we are enhancing public safety communications, as well as our initiatives in healthcare and the food and beverage industry, all centered around communications-enabled enterprise capabilities. Additionally, we are focusing on integrating voice technology with our AI systems to improve customer experience, particularly in call centers, by boosting efficiency and enhancing service quality. Lastly, we are turning our attention to IT transformation initiatives, ensuring that these new opportunities can be effectively monetized and integrated into existing networks.
